Nominations are open now through Nov.1 for the Martha Ingram Leadership Award, which honors the legacy of community philanthropist and business leader Martha Ingram—former Ingram Micro chairman and CEO.
The award demonstrates Ingram Micro’s global commitment to celebrating associates whose exceptional contributions have an extraordinary impact, at work or in the community, with a particular focus on the award’s core values of leadership, commitment, and integrity and trust.
Recipients will be announced in early 2017 and will receive a crystal plaque, US$5,000 for a charity of choice and a US$1,000 cash award.
“When thinking about nominations, think of the people you know who are leaders at work, in their communities or both,” said Kendra Angier, vice president, U.S. Human Resources. “Their contributions are part of who they are, what they’re known for, and represent their life’s work of making a difference.”

The nomination process this year is simpler and clearer than ever.
Any associate with at least six months tenure may nominate any full-time associate with two years tenure who demonstrates the award’s core values at Ingram Micro or through external activities such as serving a local or global community.

As leadership pioneer Warren Bennis said, “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” This alignment between thought and action, whether at work or at home, speaks to the type of person the Martha Ingram Leadership Award seeks to recognize.
